PARTICIPATION GUIDELINES
These guidelines apply to social events and tournaments sponsored by the Cottonwood Tennis Club.

The Tournament Director and assistant(s) administer these activities under the supervision of the CTC Board of Directors and within the guidelines provided by the current HOA#2 policies pertinent to the use of the tennis courts.  If there is to be an entry fee for an event, it will be determined by the CTC Board of Directors.

SOCIALS
1.  Only members of the Cottonwood Tennis Club can participate in these events with other clubs.  Players with membership in more than one club are encouraged to play in the club of their residence, but may choose the club with which they want to play, unless specified differently by the other club.
2.  Players must be at the courts at least 30 minutes before their scheduled playing time.
3.  Recommended apparel is a white club shirt with navy blue tennis shorts or skirts.  CTC logos and name tags are recommended.
4.  Scoring guidelines will be determined by the Tournament Director.

CLUB TOURNAMENTS
1.  All members of the Cottonwood Tennis Club can participate.
2.  Players must be at the courts at least 30 minutes before their scheduled playing time.
3.  Tennis balls will be provided as directed by the Tournament Director.
4.  Scoring guidelines will be determined by the CTC Board.

CODE OF CONDUCT
All Cottonwood Tennis Club members must exhibit high standards of proper conduct, fair play,and good sportsmanship while at or on Cottonwood Palo Verde tennis courts or when representing the CTC at an event in another facility.  Appropriate penalties and/or action will be taken by the CTC if those standards are not followed.  The point penalties published in the USTA Handbook of Tennis Rules and Regulations will be assessed for inappropriate conduct, lateness, or delay.  Severe misconduct and failure to appear for a match at the assigned time may result in a suspension from one or more of the CTC sponsored activities.
