LOCATION OF COURTS
Nine courts are available for the use by all Phase II property owners and renters. There are five courts in Cottonwood, two in Palo Verde, and two in Ironwood (Phase III reciprocal).
PROPER ATTIRE
Appropriate tennis attire is required. Shirts (no tank tops for men) and non-marking tennis shoes are to be worn at all times.
TENNIS LESSONS
Free group tennis lessons are available on Monday and Tuesday evenings (7:30--9:00) at the Cottonwood courts October 1 - April 30. Check the bulletin board for current information.
BALL MACHINES
There is one ball machine located at the Cottonwood courts and one at the Palo Verde courts. They are available to all Phase II residents and to Sun Lakes 1 and Phase III residents who have paid a tennis use fee to HOA#2. A machine storage unit key and the required orientation can be obtained by contacting the person responsible for each location. The ball machines may only be used after 12 noon, October 1-April 30 and after 10:00 AM May 1-September 30. They should not be used if players are waiting for a court. The normal time limit is one hour, but there is a one-half hour maximum, if all courts are occupied after use has begun.
PRACTICE WALL
There is a practice wall on Cottonwood court #4. It may be used by all Phase II residents, renters, and guests as well as by Sun Lakes I and Phase III residents who have paid a tennis use fee to HOA#2. Use of the practice wall shall not commence if other players are waiting for a court, and the court shall immediately be released if players are waiting to use the court when all other courts are already occupied. If another player is waiting to use the practice wall, the time is limited to 30 minutes per player. Before using the practice wall on court #4, players must sign up on the green sign-in board at the Fitness Center entrance.
